John Coughlan

Back in the summer of 2002 a bank-employee called
John Coughlan ( me ) decided to pursue a career as a
lyricist. With a deep-seated love of music and words, but
no formal training, this poet decided it was time to write
lyrics. Starting right from scratch, my writing career has
progressed as follows :

UK Songwriting Contest-Lyric : Double Finalist ; 2002, 2003
Great American Song Contest : Semi-finalist ; 2002, 2003
UK Songwriting Contest-Song : Finalist ; 2004
Great American Song Contest 2004 joint HONOR AWARD
with Alan Lauris for the song SPRING WILL COME

I have already collaborated with the following composers ;
Alan Lauris and Jannica Smith. A link to Alan Lauris'
web-site can be found on the Links page.

On the poetry side, to date Forwardpress have accepted
100% of my poetry submissions for publication.
